Hello fresh reviews9/22/2023 ![]() (I didn't realise it was legal under GDPR for companies to hold sensitive personal info on ex-customers for this long) They refused to print a new address label for me or cancel that order even though it hadn't been packed yet, supposedly because of a policy to reduce food waste, and instead insisted on sending the parcel to the wrong address, thereby wasting a whole box of food. At no point before that did anyone tell me that HelloFresh still had an old address on file for me from when I tried 1 box 8 years ago and that they'd be sending my new box to that old address instead of the address where they'd signed me up at the door. A few hours later, payment was taken from my account for the first box. Someone came to my door and convinced me to sign up. We're sorry for any issue with the email correspondence, our email is a non-reply one and when you send us an email, you get an automatic reply instructing you to contact us via other channels. The deadline is the point up until you need to make changes to your account before an order is generated for the following week and it's really important to our service. We are a self managed subscription service with a deadline that is 5 days before your delivery. Not a good way to treat your customers or potential customers because lack of trust in any business is horrendous and this incident / treatment could happen to anyone in the future! Surely that is not legal, what if I had gone on holiday, the box would have been visible to everyone passing and any Undesirable could see it and see the property empty. I’d edit you message and say So what they are now saying is that even though I cancelled the service, they can leave a box on my door step and charge me. Customers should be wary that the HelloFresh system does not action what you want. The food went off by the time I got a managers response (1 week later) Unacceptable behaviour, basically called me a lier as they did not receive the cancellation. Queried with a manger and the only thing they could do was a £10 good will gesture! I did not open the box encase this needed to be returned. ![]() I even emailed them to say I cannot afford the box, before it was sent, but no answer. I was told my cancellation did not go through to them, so would still need to pay. I would give this no stars if I was able too. The packaging kept things fresh and in good condition. You're able to adjust or cancel your order within a reasonable time frame. The subscription/plan offers reasonable customization. The service is available to consumers in a variety of locations.
