Pho an hoa9/25/2023 ![]() Izakaya is known for its bar that serves alcohol and snacks. Chashu Ramen is known for their pork meat that has an enjoyable smoky and grilled flavor. Recently, in September of 2020, Tam opened his third restaurant named Chashu Ramen and Izakaya in Worcester. In 2018, Tam took over Pho Hoa allowing his father to retire. Reign Drink Lab is known for its famous traditional Vietnamese coffee, and its sea salt cream is their signature drink. In 2016, Tam opened his second restaurant named Reign Drink Lab with his friends James Pham & Ragnu Krishman. A couple months later, he opened his first In 2013, Tam received his MBA at Babson College. They are located at 1370 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester, MA. They also had a butterfly drink, which was delicious. Customers have a great experience at Pho Hoa, and their food is enjoyable. They treat their customers with love and care. Each dish is made with love and special hands. They serve stir-fried rice, noodles (beef pho), white rice, and teriyaki chicken. The original owner of Pho Hoa was Thanh Le (Tam’s dad), who opened it. Pho Hoa was one of the first Vietnamese restaurants to open in Dorchester, MA, in 1992. We will be featuring different stories starting with Frasyaily Neomy Soto Cordero writing about Pho Hoa in Fields Corner. We are making these stories into a deck of cards so anyone can Tour Your Boston. They have overcome many challenges in the world to pen these stories about Boston, their home. These are stories written by students from the ESL 1 Newcomers and the 6th-grade inclusion program, who learn best in non-traditional classrooms or are in classes designed for New Language Learners. They were tasked with interviewing business owners, artists, and residents and writing biographies about the people and places that make Dorchester unique. Frederick Pilot Middle School toured Dorchester’s Grove Hall, Upham’s Corner, and Fields Corner neighborhoods. We set out to learn the answer by partnering with the Boston Public Schools. The soup doesn’t travel well as is, so many places that offer takeout or delivery will serve all the ingredients in separate containers for heat-at-home meals - but the extra effort is worth it. ![]() Options around town include specialties like giant bowls of pho that easily feed four people, pho topped with whole simmered beef ribs, and oxtail pho bright with fresh chopped herbs. A typical bowl consists of steamy broth - cooked low and slow, usually clear yet infused with fatty richness from animal bones and highly fragrant - brimming with meat, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles. While Seattle’s Vietnamese scene extends well beyond pho, that aromatic noodle soup is still one of the more celebrated dishes around town, especially in colder weather.
